Abdul Ahad Kazi, MD, FACS

Dr. Abdul Ahad Kazi is an Anniston based board certified Ophthalmologist. He moved to Anniston, AL with his family in the year 2006. Ever since Dr. Kazi moved to Anniston he has been actively involved with the Anniston Muslim Community. Dr. Kazi, worked very diligently with the other members in the community to establish the Anniston Islamic Weekend School, The Salam Free Clinic which sees uninsured patients in Anniston and the Iqra Math and Science Academy. Dr. Kazi is one of the founding members of IMSA and serves in the capacity of Chairman of its board. His dream is to make IMSA and its Quran Academy a world class example in Islamic Schooling and a Center for Quranic teaching for children and adults alike.

Dr. Muhammad Nisarul Haq

Dr. Muhammad Nisarul Haq directs Islamic Studies and is on the board of directors at the Iqra Math and Science Academy. Known for his interfaith activism, community work and public speaking, Dr. Haq founded the American Society for Islamic Awareness in Houston, Texas where he presides as the President. Dr. Haq also serves on the Advisory Board for the Interfaith Ministry of Calhoun County. Dr. Haq received his doctoral degree in Comparative Religion from the University of Punjab, in Pakistan. Prior to teaching at the high school to graduate level in the United States, Dr. Haq was a faculty lecturer at his alma mater, the International Islamic University in Islamabad, Pakistan where he earned his Master’s degree in Islamic Theology and World Religions. When Dr. Haq is not teaching he is the Imam for the Anniston Islamic Center and a regular contributor to the Anniston Star. Dr. Haq’s fields of interest are Comparative Religion, Tafseer, Hadith, and Seerah.
